Uplifting Keynotes

Keynotes & Conference Speaking

Hi I’m AJ…and I worry about the addiction to productivity, efficiency and quick fixes to bring about streamlined processes, quality improvement, leaner management, faster results and the seeming delusion of needing to hustle to get stuff done.

It saddens me each and every time I enter a workplace to see good people working like zombies, devoid of emotion, enjoyment or engagement, snapping at each other, suffering under a micromanager or held prisoner by some system or hierarchy put in decades before.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Cultures can be vibrant. Work can be juicy.

We all want to enjoy our work, to feel useful, productive, like what we do matters and adds value. We all want meaningful work that allows us to use our unique strengths and talents every day.

In my view organisations are possibly the world’s most under-utilised resource for solving many human, economic and environmental challenges we face today. So I am on a mission to accelerate the evolution of more conscious cultures that enable happy, healthy employees.

If we are to avoid a global disengagement crisis we need to find a new way. I believe we need a new approach to building healthy, vibrant workplaces, a way that’s not massive and costly and impossible to do.

I believe there’s a simple science to unlocking the power of your people and your culture and all it takes is a series of 10⁰ shifts. I’d love to come and speak to your organization, conference and meeting about how you can make shift happen and make yourself, your team and your culture juicy.

Three key reasons why AJ gets hired as a speaker

Reason #1: Lasting Results

AJ’s keynotes and workshop are recognised for producing lasting results for her clients. She believes that “Inspirational stories and motivational speeches are good for a lift, but a shift is what everyone is after. As a professional speaker I deliver relevant content with loads of interaction so people can make simple shifts that produce lasting results."

Reason #2: Practical Action Steps

For business audiences she is not an inspirational speaker, she is a transformational coach and she knows what her breath of life is for. Her philosophy is, “not to get you to sit back and clap, but to sit forward, stand up and take action right away.” She is known for always leaving her audiences with several specific things that they can implement in the days and weeks following her presentation.

Reason #3: Real World Experience

If you want a sugar-coated view of business, leadership and culture, don’t hire AJ for your next event. She is provocative, sharp and truth seeking, she won't feed you a bunch of fluff. Her business deliveries come from not only her studies but her streetwise wisdom. Her University MBA students love that she shares not only the theory but the real world truths of the business world with loads of real life examples to illustrate. Her style is open and warm yet straightforward and sharp shooting, she's to the point; and she's always keeping it real. Many business speakers don’t compare because they can’t pass the test of real experience combined with book smarts and education.

AJ’s Testimonials

I am writing to say how impressed I was with the speech you gave us last week. I don’t know if you’ll remember but I am the one who said they had no idea where they were heading…I just wanted to say that you really inspired me to go out and get as much experience as possible and just give it a go.
And…that story about the bull! WOW! Keep telling that…it seriously sounded like something out of a movie. Anyway…again, just a little note to say thanks, and hopefully put a smile on your face to know you’ve made a difference in my life.
— Emma – Newcastle, NSW, Australia
I attend many different networking breakfasts but none have had me so engaged and motivated. Well done!  I hope our paths cross again. Thoroughly enjoyable and thought provoking.
— Sonya, Doyle Partners
I heard you speak today at the Gen X women networking breakfast at Merewether Surf House. You are clearly all about mentoring, coaching, - and empowerment, you obviously walk the talk and have a truly generous spirit. While some of your presentation was familiar to me what you did today was bring them back to the forefront of my mind and packed about 1000% more intensity to them so much so I became swept up in this desire to reap, demand, extract and enjoy so much more from the year ahead.
Thank you, for the wake-up call this morning. You changed the world today, or mine at least. And for that I will be forever grateful.
— Belinda, Events Hunter

AJ encourages audiences to turn inward and look at their own life and see what makes them truly joyful, UP and alive. As more people are striving to live consciously, simply and in harmony with each other and the planet there is a need to open up conversations about what that can look like on a personal, community and global level.

For schools, colleges and community groups she’s an experiential facilitator who helps audiences connect with themselves, each other, their breath and their consciousness.

A ten times published author, she speaks regularly at conferences across Australia, New Zealand and the US and is the creator of the podcast The Theatre of U and the Daily Uptimism card series. As a practicing servant leader, she is generous with her time – she is a founding board member of the Got Your Back Sista, the Founder and Chair of the Professional Communicators Network and the Co-Founder of Human Power.

Be prepared to be challenged, inspired, to make a shift and be a little more Uptimistic.
